The last time I saw Newt Gingrich
Was in his office in Washington…
While he was House Speaker.
Very personable, but surrounded by a maelstrom of aids and people vying for a sliver of his time.

An act of pure serendipity. He was speaking at a local function wherin a group of Lama’s had created sand paintings and had also brought various texts with them for an exhibition at Emory University’s carlos Museum.
The amazing thing is just how totally ALIVE he is. Every instant, every word is savored for the totality of the NOW in which he finds himself.
Why did you come?
Because I was here true enough, I had been there for another function and saw that this was going on and crashed.
He smiled and laughed and I was touched.
